Movie Club - We Love Movies!
We meet the first Thursday of the month; this month April 4.
On April 4, we will discuss the movie Ruskin, which is available on Netflix. This movie tells the story of the life of Bayard Ruskin, who was instrumental in pulling off the 1963 March on Washington. As a black, gay man, he faced the prejudice of his time but kept working for civil rights.
Join us for the discussion via the Zoom link on the uucrt.org website or in the weekly e-Blast at 7:00pm, Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Book Club - We Love Books!
Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 pm via Zoom.
We will read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and discuss it at the April 18 Zoom meeting. We just discovered that 4 of us had never read this classic. Join us to share your love of this beloved book or tell us why you hate it. All readers are welcome.
At our meeting on May 16, we will each be sharing one or two books that we have found to be especially enjoyable or thought provoking with the hope that others might find our suggestions worth checking out. We would certainly like to hear from you.
Join us via the Zoom link below or in the weekly e-Blast to give your thoughts.

A message from the Unitarian Universalist Association:
"Unitarian Universalism is a living tradition that learns and adapts to meet the needs of each generation. It’s been nearly 40 years since a comprehensive review of our principles. The digital age has shifted our interactions with community and truth. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted our interdependence, and where individualism falls short. There is a rise in global autocracies and attacks on democratic institutions, and climate catastrophe and mass extinctions threaten the delicate balance of the web of life. These are just a few of the major struggles our living tradition must face today and in our future. With the articulation of our shared UU values, we can be better equipped to make values-based decisions in facing these new and evolving realities."
Below are a few links to explore how our values and principles might be reframed. The UUCRT delegates to the GA Summit will be voting on the proposed revisions this summer. All UUCRT members and friends will have a chance to voice their opinions, and members will be able to cast their vote, before we send our delegates to the UUA General Assembly this June.
