In the summer of 2018 hundreds of grannies traveled from the U.S. to the US-Mexico border in McAllen, Texas to assist asylum seekers. What they saw – as migrating children and families were separated, tortured, and dehumanized – motivated them to fight on. They had rallied in response to a group in Beacon who initiated the trip. Tune in to the June 28 service to hear Catherine Cole, executive director of Grannies Respond – and Andrea DeGeorge, film maker and board member – present about this experience. https://vimeo.com/425568171
