Unity, Bravery, and the Call to Our Better Selves

On January 21, 2025, Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde, stood at the nationally televised Inaugural Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral. With searing bravery, Bishop Budde chose to issue a “final plea” to President Trump seated only feet away—fully aware that powerful and consequential ears were listening. She looked straight into his eyes and called on him to act with decency and mercy. How does her courage relate to us as Unitarian Universalists? How are we called to act? https://youtu.be/iBcZxByWkFM
