Elizabeth will share a video of a spoken word poem entitled “I Hope You Make It” by Maxine Meixner and then elaborate on the poem’s themes of empathy, kindness, interconnectedness, justice, hope, and change.

Elizabeth Tarvin is a Professor of Education at SUNY Orange, where she has taught for 20 years after teaching at an elementary school for 10 years. She attended Colgate University, where she majored in philosophy, and the University of Rochester, where she received a Masters in Teaching and Curriculum.
